Shoes. A girl's best friend. My wallet's worst enemy.

Yes.
That is my promise to myself and I fully intend to hold on to it.
I will not even step foot into a shoe shop.
It's too dangerous for me to enter.
I'd rather not risk it.
My wallet might not come out alive.

Anyway, I watched Chocolat.
It's such a nice movie.
You can't help but crave something chocolatey after watching it.
Plus Johnny Depp is in it.
Actually, him acting in the movie is reason enough to watch it.
He's awesome la.

It's so strange, I got so talkative today after our sing-k session.
Weird. I think my ears liked the sound of my hoarse voice a little too much.

AND I've been exercising.
Not enough to lose the weight I gained during my exam period bingeing but I'm getting there.
I'm so proud of myself =D

11.11

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

Today is a piece of paper with intentional splotches and accidental smudges

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

So I lost something today.
Which sucks obviously.
What's even worse is that it's gonna take a lot of hassle to replace it.
Sigh, what a way to start my hols.

Still, I'm quite cheerful.
Which is quite strange....but it's better than getting depressed and sulky right?

And I'm moving to Tokyo...............cause I'm tired of San Francisco

I heart Owl City <3

By your grace

I'm learning to forgive
I'm learning to let go
I'm learning to break down the walls that I've spent so much time building up
I'm learning to be patient
I'm learning to be appreciative
I'm learning how to truly love

I'm learning so much more than what I had bargained for
Thank you God

enjoying the moment

Gosh I haven't been here in ages and I've got so much stuff that happened that I don't know where to start.
*deep breath*

Well, it was mostly...exams, studying, going out till late, sleeping late & waking up early, staying in uni till 11pm, lame jokes, the occasional cute guy, scary movies, bak kut teh's and a teeny scare which turned out to be me overreacting =) (try saying that in one breath hee)

My first semester is finished and I'm really looking forward to the next one. It'll be so much more fun I think, since everyone knows everyone now. And contrary to common perception, medic students know how to have fun OK!
We play frisbee in the hallways and sing Queen songs off-tune and dance to tectonic and shave our heads bald for the heck of it so yeah!

And no, I did not shave my head=]

So I'm in the middle of my glorious hols now.
Its been......uneventful.
Which is quite unsatisfying cos I seem to be wasting my time a LOT.
Bleh.

Someone thought I was from Indonesia lol. In what way do I look Indonesian? Or Indonesian Chinese? Do I have an accent? Is it the way I dress? Do Indonesians even have a distinct way of dressing??

Aaaaanywayyyyy, going for a much needed and delayed family holiday somewhere cold =] YES! An escape from this awful sweat-inducing heat. Then going off for Monash CF Camp!
Woooooshhhhhh.
Blame these weird onomatopoieas on the choc cake I wolfed down just now.
At 2 something in the morning. Sugar rush.

Heehee.
Being in the Games committee is funfunfun.
Imagine...you get to decide on what games to play and most importantly......

PUNISHMENTS!!!

Crazy fun. I get smiley just thinking about it =D
Can sabo ppl also hahahaahha

okok I should not get overexcited. Think calm thoughts.
Caaaaallllllllmmmmmm thoughts.
Okay. One thing that medic school teaches is how to relax and manage stress cos' you know, doctors and students are quite prone to having some screws loose in our heads.
It's called Progressive Muscle Relaxation.

Close your eyes. If there are any thoughts in your mind just let them pass through, don't pursue them.
Listen to the sounds in the room. Now listen to the sounds outside(even if its pin drop silence, this is where your imagination plays a BIG role, feel free to imagine anything no matter how ridiculous). Strech your senses...listen to the sounds on the road(tip: imagine!).
Tense the muscles of your neck. Keep it tensed for 10 secs. 1.....2......3.....to 10
Slowly release the tension. Feel the tension leaving.
Then we are instructed to progressively squeeze the muscles in out body that are squeezable and feel the tension slowly leaving.

AFter the PMR apparently we're supposed to be in the optimal state to sleep. So fellow insomniacs, try this at home! It's completely safe and has no lethal side-effects!

sorry sorry

I officially declare that walking back from uni is hazardous for my health.
And I need a walking stick. Or crutches. Or even better, a wheelchair!

I was walking. Fell down. Sprained my ankle. Died.
So now I'm typing this while I'm in the morgue waiting for my coffin to arrive.
It's quite nice here actually.
Quiet and peaceful.
If you ignore my neighbour who is fussing about the maggots in his eyes of course.
He says he's been in the morgue for a week now and no one has come to pick him up.
Poor guy. Some identification problem apparently.

Sigh. Not too many cute dead guys around here.
But come to think of it, not too many cute guys period.
Ah well...at least the people here are friendly.

Gotta go now.
The mortician is coming back from his toilet break.

walk on

I'm feeling optimistic tonight.
=)

*********************************************************

So today I learned CPR.
And how to un-choke someone.
Was kinda nervous in the beginning but I got the hang of it later on..
Just hope I won't have to actually apply this in real life.

***********************************************************

Followed Serene, my coursemate/cousin's friend to CHC.
We missed worship though, the best part =(
Had dinner and celebrated David's extremely belated birthday

*********************************************************

OH I almost forgot the most important thing I wanted to say...
I met the guy version of Jenny, Joan
seriously.
I mean, he REALLY looks like her except manlier and stuff IMO
Aiyoh, every time I see him I think of Jenny haha!
But that's not the best part!!

Guess his name.

He has the same name as her bro XD

Sigh miss you guys.
Kinda wish we could relive high school.

because i'm stupid

I find myself gravitating towards the same type of people.
To put it generally.

A picture paints a thousand words.
A thousand words that I can't even begin to express.

My first thought.

'He knows him'
Ohhhh crap.
Oh fudge.
'This has to be a hallucination.'
*blink blink*
'Oh darn it's real.'

No wonder laaa...

"I don't like it when people are too nice."

Isn't it ironic?
First meetings. Initial impressions.
He smiles too much.
She laughs too loud.

and so it continues...

I've never cared much for politics.
Never really bothered to find out what's going on in Malaysia's political scene.
But seeing politicians scrabbling for power and money in my own backyard is really something that woke me up.
An eye-opener, if you will, to how corrupt and greedy our country's leaders are.
Not all of course, just 90% of them.
Well, the future of Malaysia looks quite bright and rosy I'm sure with all these pemimpin-pemimpin yang berintegriti who supposedly shuns double-standards when dealing with another politician whose incriminating pictures were spread around (I wonder how those pictures were obtained and oh! what good timing) while ignoring the fact that politicians of his own party are involved in more immoral things.

Anyway, I just read this.
And I think you should read it too.
Let's see if justice prevails.
I think not, but I might just be pessimistic.

*this is a very rare post about Malaysian politics which I don't think will be repeated soon because I get riled up thinking about it and since I look rather scary when I'm angry I think I'll post about other stuff next time, like pretty pink dresses and Hello Kitty*

ASK ME FIRST...

...before you buy stuff for me that are exorbitantly priced!
Gahhhhh.
He called yesterday and told me in this very excited, happy voice that he bought me a bag.
For college.
And he was going on and on about how much I would love it and how beautiful it was and how many ways I could carry it.

"You can carry it on your shoulder, sling it or y'know carry it like a knapsack. Like you know got the two straps in front one."
"mmhmmm...."
"Eh, very nice lah the bag. You'll absolutely love it."
"Uh...okay. So, how much is it?"
"Ohhhh, it was 30% discount. And it was the last one somemore. So I cannot tahan lah buy it for you."
"Haaaa....o-kay."
"Don't worry lah, you sure like it one."

Now I feel very apprehensive about the bag. And even if the bag is really ugly I still have to use it.
To top it off, I'm quite sure that the bag is the type of bag that lasts very very very long and will take ages for it to spoil/tear.
I'm aware that I'm being pessimistic about the bag but....I can't help it.
Because....my dad bought my mom a bag before and it was really.....auntie-ish.
Not ugly lah but my mom couldn't stand it until she had to give it away.
HAHAHA so funny when my dad found out

Ah well, I don't think can return the bag so I'll just have to live with it.
Hopefully it's not as bad as I think it is.

Now I shall log in to fb and be happy if u know what i mean XD

Tell Me

Today is the start of the school year.
Woohoo!
And what am I doing?
Rotting at home, staring listlessly at my laptop screen.
So sad. I will be doing this for two months until my semester starts in March.
:'(

My mom noticed how incredibly free I am at home and assigned me to do chores.
So today's assignment is to call the tuition centre and enroll my brother for tuition classes.
Okla, this is easy and I don't mind doing it.
The other thing she asked me to do on the other hand is like.....sigh.
I have to unpick the sewing on a certain someone's boxers cos she wanted to redo the elastic.
BOXERS!
The boxers are made in China so I thought 'Ok, not that bad lah, the sewing sure very easy to take out one.'
Then when I tried to unpick it I realised actually the sewing very close together larrrr
Cis! So I took like one whole hour to unpick everything.
I felt quite relieved THEN I remembered that still got another TWO boxers.
Ish...now I still got one more to do..

Carrot cakes are in fact quite unhealthy contrary to what I thought.
I've always believed carrot cakes are healthy since it has carrots and everyone knows that carrots are healthy.
BUT do you know just how much oil and butter it takes to make a carrot cake?
A LOT!
I made a carrot cake that day and the recipe said to put like one whole cup of oil inside even after I've added butter.
One whole cup of oil can fry many many dishes of food okay.
And to think, all this time I've been fooled into thinking that carrot cakes are super healthy *shakes head*
IT'S THE CARROT'S FAULT!!
Those sneaky orange-coloured sticks with green tufts of hair deceived me!

Okay, my mom just ordered
asked me to clean my room and by her definition of 'clean your room' she means that she wants me to dig out all my unwanted stuff and arrange them neatly into shelvesas well as wipe the cubboards and move my stuff from one shelf to another shelf cos it'll look better =.=

Good news though, my hair isn't as poofy now although it still looks a bit ridiculous when I wake up in the morning and look in the mirror.

Oh well.
Till I blog again.

UPDATE: This is really a useless update but I'm just putting this here cos I have nothing else to do and I just read Jill's blog and found out that she listens to BIG BANG while on the treadmill too!! I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE!! Haha, oklah I'm sure Joan does that too. In fact, I think if she could she'd listen to BIG BANG every single second of the day XD. And then hor, I find that BIG BANG songs are very good workout songs actually. You actually feel that you want to jog. I should do that today. Jog, I mean. Since I'm so free y'know. I'm talking to my blog. Uh...Okay, I think I need my meds
